David Sonenscher- CEO Motorsport Asia Ltd
David has been the leading race promoter in Asia for over 20 years. He has brought many great race series to Asia from the Ferrari Challenge, , Formula BMW, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, GT Asia Series and Asia Festival of Speed (AFOS). Now concentrating on the very popular TCR racing series, David continues to put Asia on the map of international motorsports.
Alexandre Gibot- Head of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific
Alexandre sits in his new position for his rich experience and involvement with Porsche Motorsport in Asia, having been in charge of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia for more than three years. Prior to that he managed the Porsche Carrera Cup France from 2011 to 2014.
Alex Yoong- Triple Audi R8 LMS Cup Champion, ex F1, TV host
Alex made history in 2016 when he won his third consecutive Audi R8 LMS Cup championship. He is the only Malaysian to have raced in the Formula One World Championship, partnering double champion Fernando Alonso and multiple race winner Mark Webber at Minardi. When Alex is not racing on the track he is co-host of Fox Sports F1 broadcast show- Race Day.
Peter Burns- Asia Motorsport Development, Ex McLaren F1
Peter Burns has over 30 years experience in the global motorsport industry, including 17 years in Formula One with McLaren as Senior Marketing Manager working with drivers including Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakkinen to name a few. This included developing the relationships with the sponsors, creating McLaren’s Grand Prix corporate hospitality to entertain the sponsors and provide insight into the sport and the race weekend experience.
Ben Potter- Asia Motorsport Development
The former Editor-In-Chief of Autosport magazine Asia, Ben started Pit Talk Asia at the start of 2012 to concentrate purely on promoting and reporting on motorsport in Asia. Ben is also the founder of Asia Motorsport Development Pte Ltd- a multi-service company that develops, supports, promotes and services the Asian motorsport industry through PR, media, consulting, sponsorship management and driver development.
In its 9th consecutive year at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, this sell-out, celebrity packed event is returning to The Grand Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, which undergoes a dramatic transformation into a glamorous ultra lounge featuring a dizzying overhead catwalk and VIP balconies offering a magical party experience with the racing community for up to 3,000 guests per night. The Podium Lounge Singapore follows successful stints around the globe including Monaco, Melbourne and Abu Dhabi.
Recognised as the most glamorous celebration of Singapore’s iconic night race, situated within the track and directly across from The Paddock Club, The Podium Lounge hosts Formula 1® drivers & teams, Royalty, celebrities, ambassadors, supermodels and Asia’s jet-setting party elite each year. Guests will be entertained by Formula 1 Legend and former Ferrari F1 Driver Giancarlo Fisichella who will be hosting the drivers, celebrity guests and performers on the red carpet each night alongside E! News host Yvette King.
This year’s star-studded line-up includes British model & singer Pixie Geldof, the daughter of Bob Geldof & Paula Yates, who will DJ on the Opening Night alongside Giancarlo Fisichella. On Saturday 16, American rapper, producer and Grammy Award Winner Coolio who became a global music star with hits ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ and ‘C U When You Get There’ will perform together with his band and on Race Night Grammy Award Winner and American R&B, jazz and soul singer, songwriter and record producer Macy Gray will be singing live at The Podium Lounge following the track-side action.
